Visit ConsumerSearch.com's page of Snoring Remedy Reviews. ConsumerSearch is a terrific product review site. They "review the reviews" for stop-snoring techniques and products that are published in magazines like Consumer Reports, as well as website reviews from sites like WebMD.com and Slate.com.

ConsumerSearch's Snoring Remedies Review page covers four approaches to stopping snoring: (1) Behavioral changes, like losing weight, and avoiding alcohol, (2) Anti-snoring products, like the well-regarded Breathe Right Nasal Strips, (3) Techniques to change your posture in bed (lying on your side instead of on your back), and (4) Medical intervention to alleviate sleep apnea.

SleepEducation.com has an excellent, detailed, and somewhat medically oriented, review of options for reducing snoring. They also mention nasal strips as a possibility, along with nasal lubricants, though with only a moderate effect. Certain oral appliances (mouth guards) can also help. One the other hand, so-called "magnetic pillows" to stop snoring appear to have no benefits.
