Things You'll Need:
- Wish lists
- Craft Supplies
- Hole Punch
-
Step 1
Create wish lists. Have everyone participating in your catalog Christmas to write down what they want for Christmas. Have them list everything from that shiny new car to world peace. Maybe someone wants to be an Olympic athlete - have them write that down. If owning an original van Gogh painting is a fantasy of yours, add that to your list. The sky is the limit.
-
Step 2
Find the items on the wish lists. Use catalogs, old magazines and newspapers to find the wishes. If you can’t the pictures, use articles that describe the wish being grants. If articles aren’t available, use individual words to make that wish come true. Cut these out to be placed in the booklet.
-
Step 3
Make the booklet for those wishes you cut out. Use any paper you want. Using a hole punch, make three holes on the side of the paper. You can use yarn, ribbon or even string to tie the pages together.
-
Step 4
Decorate the booklet. Keep in mind the person you will be giving it to. Be sure to include the person’s name and the year of the specific Christmas. Get creative. Use glitter, stickers and your own original artwork. You can compose a poem or a letter, letting the person know that this is what you want them to have for Christmas.
-
Step 5
Paste the wishes to the pages of the booklet. Arrange them anyway you like. Add little notes, explaining how you would love to give them the actual gift. Feel free to add more glitter and stickers, if you like.
-
Step 6
Give to your loved ones. Watch their faces light up as they look through their gift. Use this time to talk about the wishes and how they would change the lives of those receiving them and, perhaps, the world.
