Choose a Great Hairstyle

Choosing a good hairstyle isn’t always easy. What color would look best? Should we go long, short or medium? Straight or wavy? And what looked terrific on us when we were ten years younger, and twenty pounds thinner may not be the best look now. One way to find a better style is by testing out virtual hairstyles online. It is easy, free, and all you need is a computer, internet connection and a digital photo of yourself on your computer.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Digital Camera
  • Internet Connection
  1. Step 1

Take a picture of yourself with the digital camera. Comb any bangs and hair back. If necessary, fasten your hair behind your head. You want to make yourself look as bald as possible. Look straight into the camera, and take a head shot. You don't need a large image size.

  2. Step 2

Download the picture you took of yourself onto your computer. Remember where the image is, you will need it later! Keep the image under 800 pixels maximum.

  3. Step 3

Go online to the My Life Time website. The link is under Resources.

  4. Step 4

Click on “Style” in the upper menu bar. Then click on “Total Beauty Makeover”.

  5. Step 5

Upload the picture you took by clicking on the “Upload your photo” link, and finding the image stored on your computer.

  6. Step 6

Choose hairstyles to try on by clicking on the “Hairstyle” link, and then choosing the style to the right side of the menu. You can also try on makeup and accessories!
