With the latest release of Apple's iTunes music software, users can download album artwork to go along with their collections of songs. This artwork can be displayed in the main iTunes window, and can also be downloaded and viewed on all iPods. All new purchases from the iTunes Store automatically come with artwork, but for music from other locations, you need to add the album images separately. This article explains how to have iTunes automatically download album artwork.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • iTunes version 7 or later
  1. Step 1

Open the iTunes application by clicking on the icon in the dock.

  2. Step 2

Locate the songs in your iTunes library that currently do not have album artwork associated with them.

  3. Step 3

Enter the title, artist and album information for each song exactly as it appears in the iTunes Store.

  4. Step 4

Go to "Advanced" in the top menu bar and select "Get Album Artwork."

  5. Step 5

Click the "Get Album Artwork" button to confirm your decision. The application will now download the missing artwork and will automatically find the artwork for new songs that are added.
