Working part time can be a great alternative when you are between jobs or going to school. Stay at home Moms love working part time. Maybe part time is right for you. Even just try some of these out for the Christmas season.

  1. Step 1

    Try snag a job online. You go to the site and type in your zip code. There are part time opportunities listed for your area. With the economy suffering there may be less part time jobs. Always check retailers during the holiday season.

  2. Step 2

    Look in your local paper for new businesses and job listings.

  3. Step 3

    Cool Works is a job board for seasonal jobs. National parks, ski resorts, camps, ranches, theme parks, and other fun places list their job opportunities on Cool Works. Go to coolworks.com. One example at coolworks is Grog's Watersports Summer in North Carolina. Spend your summer getting paid to work outside in the sun & surf.

    Double check online websites for part time openings.

  5. Step 5

    Check job sites for part time work. Go to CareerBuilder.com and use part time as a search.

  6. Step 6

    Email all of your contacts to let them know you are looking to work part time and share with them the types of skills you have. Networking really works for a job hunt.

  7. Step 7

    Work as an Independent Contractor, you could sell Avon or Mary Kay all the while working part time.

  8. Step 8

    Start your own small service business. Dog walking, house sitting, baby sitting or home cleaning all can be good part time jobs.

    Check the local college for part time jobs. Or even teach as a Cont. Education instructor, the pay is good and you can maintain those part time hours.

    Deliver newspapers, fliers or magazines. Contact your local paper. Or check out craigslist.org for opportunities to deliver fliers door to door.

    Check out craiglist.org for your city. There is a part time section under jobs. Part time jobs found at craigslist.org today include, Art Instructor, Receptionist, Baker, Telemarketer and Production Coordinator.

  12. Step 12

    Craft a one page flier that tells services or products you can provide. Do you love to bake cookies. Make homemade cookies and sell them for a profit.

  13. Step 13

    Look at the websites of business you want to work at, search by keywords part time and you will be surprise what is still out there.

  14. Step 14
     

    Take baby photos. This is a fun part time job working with hospitals.
