Delicious tips on navigating your way through the semi-soft cheeses!

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

BLUE (semi-soft): Rich and salty with a tangy hint that lingers. Perfect for salads and made with desserts.

  2. Step 2

COLBY (semi-soft): Mild and milky flavor. Perfect for the picky eater who doesn't like a lot of flavors. Does well on sandwiches.

  3. Step 3

FETA (semi-soft): Very sharp and salty flavor. Perfect for salad made with fruits (grapes, apples, etc).

  4. Step 4

FONTINA (semi-soft): Nutty with a hint of honey flavor. This makes for a great appetizer cheese. Add this to a platter with apples, figs and other cheeses such as: Gouda, Harvarti, Gruyere and Brie.

  5. Step 5

GORGONZOLA (semi-soft): Earthy flavor that is rich and spicy. Great for salads and served as after meal dessert.

  6. Step 6

HAVARTI (semi-soft): A delicate creamy and smooth flavor. Does well on gourmet sandwhiches and served as an appetizer.

  7. Step 7

MOZZARELLA (semi-soft): Mild flavor that appeals to most. Great on sandwiches, but especially prized with tomato-based meals. A great snack is to simply slice Mozzarella cheese and served with sliced tomatoes.

  8. Step 8

MUENSTER (semi-soft): A very strong taste and smell with a tangy and spicy aftertaste. Does have multi-purpose use as a sandwich item, desserts and with appetizer. Serve small amounts as most people can only eat a little bit.

PORT DU SALUT (semi-soft): Nutty with an almost meaty flavor. Use with sandwiches, desserts and even as an appetizer.

  10. Step 10

ROQUEFORT (semi-soft): Experience a rich melt-in-your-mouth experience with this cheese. It has a sharp tang that lingers. Great for salads and served with traditional cheese platters.

  11. Step 11

STILTON (semi-soft): Rich and spicy that almost tasts like blue and cheddar cheese. Recommended for desserts and as a snack item - think crackers.
