Wheat Dough
Wheat Dough

We all like homemade pizza, but how about some pizza dough that is made of good, healthy wheat? Here is a good recipe!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  1. Step 1

Mix your sugar and warm water in a large bowl, then sprinkle your yeast on top, set it aside for about 10 minutes, it will then get foamy. Then, stir in the oil and salt, stir in the wheat flour, and one cup of the all purpose flour.

  2. Step 2

Spread the rest of the all purpose flour onto a flat surface, and put the dough you just made on top of it. Roll it around and knead it until you encompass all the dough on the surface you are using and it is soft.

  3. Step 3

Lightly oil a large bowl and put the dough in it, make sure there is oil over all of the dough, cover it with a towel and let it sit in a warm place for about an hour, or until it doubles in size.

  4. Step 4

Take the dough out and divide in two for two thin crusts, or roll it into one big ball to make one regular crust. Let stand for another 45 minutes. Refrigerate until you are ready to use.

on 12/9/2008 I imagine so, I haven't tried it with all wheat flour, just in case it does something funky, but I really don't see how it will hurt anything.
