During the holidays everyone wants to have a beautiful festive house with these tips you can have a beautiful thanksgiving centerpiece that will have everyone talking!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pumpkin
  • Flowers
  • Knife
  • Spoon
  • Bowl
  • Pine cones
  • Pumpkin scented candles
  1. Step 1

    If you are going to buy your flowers do this first then bring them home and put them in some water until you are ready.

  2. Step 2

    Get your pumpkin and cut a hole on top around the stem just big enough to put your flowers in, make sure the hole is large enough to put your hand inside. Remove the top and take out the seeds use your spoon to scrape the inside walls of the pumpkin make sure the inside walls are smooth.

  3. Step 3

    Fill the inside with water about 3/4 full for the flowers. Cut the flowers to the right height and arrange them how you like. You can also use flowers right from your garden.

  4. Step 4

    To add a little more decoration you can add a few pine cones around the pumpkin and a couple pumpkin scented candles (Only if it's safe)!

Tips & Warnings
  • You can have the flowers all one color or mix and match.
  • You can use different colors and sizes of pumpkins.
  • You can let your kids take out the seeds.
  • You can use the pumpkin seeds after and roast them for a snack later.
  • When you scrape the inside of the pumpkin you can add some warm/hot water this will make it easier, then rinse.
  • Only use the the candle if you think it's safe!
  • Only have an adult use the knife!
