How to Purchase Marionette Puppets

Marionette puppets are great presents for children who want to learn how to become puppeteers. Each puppet has its own unique look and personality, and can be used in many different plays. Some puppets only require a change of clothes to take on a whole new role in a play, and investing in a few good marionettes may be all that you need to do to develop your own play.

Instructions

1. Figure out your budget. Expect to pay $20 for smaller marionettes. More sophisticated marionettes can run from $100. The company Shwe Chi Doe won't even let you place an order unless you spend $500 (see Resources below).

2. Choose your supplier. There are several good companies out there, such as the above-mentioned Shwe Chi Doe and Czech Marionettes. A great way to find out if a company is reputable is to check them out with the Better Business Bureau (see Resources below)

3. Consider eBay. You can't get custom-made marionettes on eBay, but you can get a marionette as a Christmas present or for your own hobby at a discounted price. Make sure to check out the seller's reputation before you make a purchase (see Resources below).

4. Follow the prompts to order your Marionette. This should be clearly laid out for you on the website of the company of your choosing. You will need a credit card to place orders. eBay will allow you to pay through Paypal as well.
