Twitter is a powerful networking tool. More than just letting people know what time you have to get an appointment, Twitter is used for networking, finding jobs, and learning more about your friends’ activities. If you're a freelance writer, it's a great way to publicize your recently written work on your Twitter page.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to Twitterfeed.com. If you don't already have a Twitter account, you need to create an account first before you can add your feed. Visit Twitter.com and create your account.

  2. Step 2

Log onto Twitterfeed. To access Twitterfeed you must have an OpenID username. If you don't have an OpenID username, it's time for you to apply for one. For instructions on how to apply for an OpenID username, check the resources at the bottom of this article.

  3. Step 3

Click on the link to create a new Twitter feed once you log in. This will bring you to a page where you will have to insert your twitter username and password.

  4. Step 4

Insert the URL of the RSS feed that you would like to appear on your twitter page. If you write for a site like Suite 101 or Bukisa, it’s it's a great way for you to publicize your latest articles.

  5. Step 5

Configure how frequently you would like the RSS feed to update. It can be updated as frequently as every 30 minutes or once every 24 hours. If you’re not too prolific, set the update to once very 24 hours. While setting the frequency, also set how many articles to post to the feed at a time. You can post as few as one and as many as five.

  6. Step 6

Complete the rest of the configuration information, which includes how to display links, prefix to appear before each feed and whether or not to activate the feed display. Once you've completed the information, click “Create.”

  7. Step 7

Monitor your Twitter page to make sure it is picking up your latest RRS feeds as indicated. You can always sign back into TwitterFeed to add/delete or modify your RSS feeds.
