Honking, getting cut off and screeching tires are only a few hassles of read rage

Most hardworking adults and teens have to drive to work, school or sometimes just to do errands and road rage is one of the biggest obstacles besides gas prices and long distances. This article will give you effective tips on how to avoid crazy drivers, get from point A to point B safely and how to just have a smoother ride all together.

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You'll Need:

  • Cd's or XM radio
  • On the go snack
  • Bluetooth earphone
  1. Step 1
If the music you gathered up is good enough, sometimes you won't want to get off your car!

If the music you gathered up is good enough, sometimes you won't want to get off your car!

If you are not looking forward to your drive, whether it be long or right around the corner, always take the time(when you have it)to get your favorite music. Update your i pod, buy new CD's, borrow from friends, whatever it takes. Good music will make you enjoy your drive and make it seem a lot shorter.

  2. Step 2
Refreshing! Nothing better to put you in a good mood.

Always try to carry your favorite beverage or just plain water to keep hydrated! Also you can bring an easy to eat on the go snack! Whether your stuck in traffic bored or just a little bit hungry, an easy to eat snack is a great idea as long as your careful and aware of your surroundings while you eat it.

  3. Step 3
Having a cleaner car is stress relieving and enjoyable

Clean up your car! If your car is dirty or messy chances are you probably aren't very excited to get in it. If you have the extra time, clean it up add your favorite air freshener! If you don't have time take it to an inside and out car wash. This relaxes you and in some ways makes the ride less hazardous since random objects won't be floating around in your car.

  4. Step 4
Use a bluetooth earpiece instead of a celphone, it's safer and more convenient!

Now for the most important part! Be a responsible driver, if you don't cut people off, give them the right of way, etc etc, you'll have less confrontations during your drive. If a rude and irate driver honks at you, cuts you off or anything of that sort, take a DEEP breath and let them just drive by. That's the last you'll see of them and believe me they'll have a bad enough day getting in fights with people even if you didn't give him the finger. But, If you encounter a really crazy driver who is making you afraid for your life you can actually call 911 and report him.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try to drive at the same speed as the traffic is going, this will avoid honking if your going too slow, or getting a ticket if your going too fast.
  • Only call 911 if the driver is harassing you and putting your life in danger!
