Things You'll Need:
- Internet Connection
- Computer
- Telephone
- Store Catalog
- Store Receipt
-
Step 1
If shopping by catalog, have the product number and toll-free (if possible) telephone ordering number available. Check the Return Policy page to see if a lifetime repair or replacement policy exists.
If it's not clearly stated, call the telephone order number and ask the Representative what the Return Policy is before you place your order. -
Step 2
If you're shopping on an Internet online web e-commerce site, check the stores' Return Policy page. Oftentimes the policy is clearly stated.
A reputable online retailer will have a telephone number on their site for you to call should you have any questions.
Call the telephone number and ask if the retailer offers a Lifetime Repair or Replacement Policy if the item is damaged. -
Step 3
If you are shopping a Brick and Mortar retailer, ask Customer Service what the Return Policy is. Some may offer a Lifetime Repair or Return Policy.

on 1/23/2009 I just got a coat from Land's End. Very nice, but I had no idea about their return policy.
