Things You'll Need:
- Notepad
- Excel
- Computer skills
-
Step 1
Go to eHow and sign in. Once you have signed on, click the MyProfile tab. After you are in your profile, click the Articles tab.
-
Step 2
On page one of your Articles tab, move your mouse cursor so that it is located just to the left of the date display under the Date column heading. Click and drag your mouse to the end of the last article displayed on page one. This will highlight, in blue, all of the articles on that page including the Views, Rating, Status and Earnings.
-
Step 3
Move your mouse pointer over a blue, highlighted part of the screen, but not the stars or the article name, right-click your mouse and select Copy.
-
Step 4
Open up Notepad, right-click your mouse and select Paste. All of the data that was highlighted in step 2 should now appear in Notepad. With your data in Notepad, press enter to move the mouse cursor to the next line. Go up to the File menu and select Save. Give your file a name.
-
Step 5
If you have additional pages on your Articles tab, repeat steps 2 and 3 on the next page. After copying, go to Notepad and at the bottom of the existing data, right click and paste the data from the second page. Continue the process for each page on your Articles tab. Once you are done pasting all of the data in Notepad, save and close the file.
-
Step 6
Open up Microsoft Excel. Go to the Data menu and select Get External Data. Select Import Text File. An Import Text File window will open. Browse to find the text file you just created and double-click it.
-
Step 7
On the Text Import Wizard - Step 1, press the Finish button. Another window, titled Import Data, will appear asking where you want to start the data. The default setting in this window is =$A$1. Click OK to accept the location. Your data is now in Excel.
-
Step 8
Right-click the number 1 in the gray box (upper left corner of the window) and choose Insert to insert a blank row. Click cell A1 to enter the title, Date. In B1, title it, Title. C1 can be named Views. Columns D and E don't matter so get rid of them by clicking the letter D and dragging to the letter E to highlight them. In the highlighted section, right click and select Delete. Click somewhere else on the screen to release the highlighting. In F1 use the title, Earnings.
-
Step 9
Now that you have titles in place, click once in the Earnings column (use cell F2 or below). On one of the toolbars at the top of the screen, you'll find a button with the letter Z on top of the letter A with a up-pointing arrow. Click the button to sort your earnings from highest to lowest. Click the A/Z button to sort from lowest to highest. You can do the same in the Views column if you desire.

on 3/25/2009 There is an easier way (if you are familiar with word and tables). I just highlight everything on my article page and copy and paste into word. Once in word, I can do anything I want with it.
