If you own a website then you probably know the importance of having your website appear high in search engine rankings. You probably also know how important it is for your website to appear high in the results on Google. Keywords and page rank are two great ways to make this happen. Here is how you can increase your Google Page Rank.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

You need to start building links that point back to your website. The more links that you have pointing back to your website the better. Of course the higher the page rank(pr) of the website pointing back to your the more favorably Google looks upon it. Therefore the fastest way to start are reciprocal links. These are links where you put a link on your site pointing to another site, and they do the same for you. Visit websites that are similar to yours and email the site owner and ask if they will swap links. You can also use a service such as Linkmarket.

  2. Step 2

Next you want to build content onto your site. This content should be valuable information that your visitors can tap into to learn something. For example if you sell digital cameras, write some articles for your website that give tips on taking better pictures. Allow readers of your articles to post comments in regards to the article as well as giving the reader the ability to share your article with others through social network sites such as Digg, Reddit, MySpace, Twitter and so on. This is easily done by adding Indocquent's social bookmark utility to the article page. Content and comments to that content allows Google to build valuable keywords into your site that will make your website appear higher in search rankings.

  3. Step 3
    Article Directories

    Article Directories

Build one way links. Writing articles is a great way to build one way links back to your website. Just like above, write informative articles about your website and submit them to article directories such as Ezine and Article Dashboard. They allow you to put a resource box after every article that you write which can point back to your website. What happens then is people who are looking for content for their websites and blogs pick up your articles and resource box and publish it on their sites. Write and submit one article everyday and in 30 days you will notice your page views and unique hits start to increase dramatically. This in turn will increase your Google PR.

Tips & Warnings
  • The articles you write for your own website should be different than the ones that you submit to the article directories.
