Things You'll Need:
- Graham crackers
- Jar of marshmallow creme
- Bag of milk chocolate chips
- Microwave safe bowl
- Spoon
- Wax paper
- Butter knife
- Microwave
-
Step 1
Lay out your graham crackers on wax paper. You want to break them so they are square in shape, usually leaving one perforation in the middle. Leave an equal amount of graham cracker squares aside, they will be the top layer of your smores.
-
Step 2
Using a butter knife, spread a layer of marshmallow creme on each graham cracker square. Use as much or as little of marshmallow creme as you like on your smores. If you use too much marshmallow creme, it may leak out the side of your smores when you take a bite. A lot of people like their smores exactly that way!
-
Step 3
Take your previously set aside graham cracker squares and top each of your marshmallow covered squares. Leave the prettier side up. Use care to make sure edges line up on your smores.
-
Step 4
Put about a cup of milk chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on full power at 30 second intervals, stirring between each. Chocolate holds it's shape while being microwaved, so don't let the looks fool you. Chocolate is ready to use when it looks like a smooth and easy consistency when stirred. Times will vary depending on how many chocolate chips and the power of your microwave.
-
Step 5
Using a spoon, place about a spoonful of chocolate on top of each of your smores. Smooth out the chocolate using the back of the spoon. Let your smores cool, and place in covered container. Enjoy!

on 1/29/2009 I used to make smores over the burner on my gas stove or over a candle, but these sounds much easier. Thanks for the info!

on 1/23/2009 I've made them so many times. I either put a regular marshmallow in the microwave with the smore assembled and watched the marshmallow get 4 times its size, or actually browned the marshmallow on a traditional coiled stovetop (it doesn't work well on my glass cooktop)
