Wear protective clothing, goggles and gloves when using your pneumatic paint gun. Also, make sure that you keep the paint gun facing away from you and others when using it.

Test your pneumatic paint gun on a large piece of cardboard, making any adjustments necessary to the paint gun to get a nice even coat with minimal pressure.

Keep the gun about 10 inches from the surface of the area you are painting.

Spray the surface in overlapping strips so you get a smooth and even coat.

Keep the gun moving in a fluid motion at a steady pace of a couple inches per second.

Let up on the paint gun's trigger all the way at the end of each strip, pulling again as you start to make your way back in the reverse direction.

Keep the spray headed straight at the surface you are painting and avoid swinging your arm back and forth.

Don't leave your pneumatic paint gun idle once you have begun, otherwise the paint may begin to harden.

Clean your spray gun when you are done for the day or if you are taking a lengthy break. Follow the instructions that came with your pneumatic paint gun. Turn off and unplug the paint gun, then pull the trigger to release any remaining pressure and paint from the hose before cleaning it.

Set the safety lock on the gun anytime that it is not in use.
