Things You'll Need:
- 4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 11/2 cups (3 sticks of 4oz) unsalted softened butter
- 1 ¾ cups firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup chocolate milk
- ¼ cup toasted hazelnuts
- 1 ¼ tablespoons of vanilla extract
- 12 oz (2cups) package of dark chocolate chunks or chips
- Utensils/Tools
- Large Mixing Bowls
- Small bowl
- Hand Mixer or Stand Mixer
- Rubber spatula or wooden spoon
- Ice cream scooper
- Measuring cup
- Measuring spoons
- Large nonstick cookie sheet

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

Step 2
Combine the all purpose flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda into a mixing bowl.

Combine softened unsalted butter and brown sugar; mix until ingredients are creamy.

Step 4
Crack the eggs into a small bowl; check for shells and freshness of the egg before placing it into the butter and sugar mixture.

Step 5
Add the eggs into the butter and sugar mixture. Mix well. Scrap the sides of the bowl. Add the vanilla extract and chocolate milk. Mix ingredients well.

Step 6
Slowly add a cup the dry ingredients of flour into the wet mixture using a low speed while adding the flour. Mix well.

Stir in the dark chocolate chunks or chips and hazelnuts using your wooden spoon or rubber spatula

Bake at 375°F, for 8-12 minutes or until golden brown. Be careful not to overcook.

Cool your colossal sized dark chocolate chip hazel nut cookies for at least 2 minutes before placing onto a serving platter.
