Healthy eating is great, but sometimes it is perfectly acceptable to treat yourself to a cookie—a colossal sized cookie. Make these cookies for family, friends, teachers, or anyone you want to say thank you to or just spread holiday cheer by sharing your creativity with these chewy colossal sized chocolate chip hazelnut cookies.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 11/2 cups (3 sticks of 4oz) unsalted softened butter
  • 1 ¾ cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup chocolate milk
  • ¼ cup toasted hazelnuts
  • 1 ¼ tablespoons of vanilla extract
  • 12 oz (2cups) package of dark chocolate chunks or chips
  • Utensils/Tools
  • Large Mixing Bowls
  • Small bowl
  • Hand Mixer or Stand Mixer
  • Rubber spatula or wooden spoon
  • Ice cream scooper
  • Measuring cup
  • Measuring spoons
  • Large nonstick cookie sheet
  1. Step 1

    Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Step 2

    Combine the all purpose flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda into a mixing bowl.

  3. Step 3

    Combine softened unsalted butter and brown sugar; mix until ingredients are creamy.

  4. Step 4

    Crack the eggs into a small bowl; check for shells and freshness of the egg before placing it into the butter and sugar mixture.

  5. Step 5

    Add the eggs into the butter and sugar mixture. Mix well. Scrap the sides of the bowl. Add the vanilla extract and chocolate milk. Mix ingredients well.

  6. Step 6

    Slowly add a cup the dry ingredients of flour into the wet mixture using a low speed while adding the flour. Mix well.

  7. Step 7

    Stir in the dark chocolate chunks or chips and hazelnuts using your wooden spoon or rubber spatula

  8. Step 8

    Bake at 375°F, for 8-12 minutes or until golden brown. Be careful not to overcook.

  9. Step 9

    Cool your colossal sized dark chocolate chip hazel nut cookies for at least 2 minutes before placing onto a serving platter.

  10. Step 10

    Enjoy the in moderation!
