After Thanksgiving, there are usually plenty of leftovers to use up. Here are some ways to use up leftover turkey.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Leftover Thanksgiving turkey breast can be sliced, either with a sharp knife or with a meat slicer, and stored in the refrigerator or the freezer for use in sandwiches.

  2. Step 2

Other parts of the turkey, like leg, wing, thigh or back meat, can be cut up, shredded or diced to be used in many different ways. Separate the cooked meat into small portions ans store for later use in freezer bags or other containers used for freezing.

  3. Step 3

You can make soups, casseroles, or even bread the larger pieces and fry in hot oil for turkey strips. My kids love these. Season fried turkey strips with salt and lemon pepper. To bread the turkey, dip the pieces in raw egg or milk, and coat with dry bread crumbs or seasoned flour before frying.
