How to Get Your Avitar On The Home Page

Ever wounder how those avatars on the front page are picked? I used to ask the same question. Follow these easy steps to get recognised on the front page of EHow.

Things You'll Need:

• Time
• Writing skills
• Able to make Friends

1. The type of Avitar that you have. Make sure that the avitar that you are using is one that you have found, and not the generic avitar that they have provided. You will never see a basic avitar on the home page. This is just a fact.

2. Write How-to' s. Write as many as you can. Make them good and readable to others. Pick odd topics or something that you have a vast knowledge of. If you are good at cooking great, add some recipes that work well for you. But make sure to add other things that other people may be interested in.

3. Make Friends. Do this by inviting others to be your friend. Once thay have become your friends, read some of there how-to' s. Not only will this help them with there articles later on, it's good common curtisy since most will return the favor as well.

• Keep it interesting!
• Do Write about things that you know about!
• Make sure to read your friends How-to' s.
• If there is a real need for you to correct someone about there how-to send them a message, don't embarrass them on a post.
• This is not a gurenty that your avitar will be hosted on the home page.

on 12/3/2008 Very true. Almost every time I'm logged in, writing articles, and commenting on other articles, I see myself on the homepage. There's definitely a correlation between getting on there and being active in the ehow community.
