Things You'll Need:
- Orange Construction paper
- Elmer's glue
- Orange glitter
- Green pipe cleaner
- Scissors
-
Step 1
Have pre-drawn shapes of pumpkins available for children to cut out on their own.
-
Step 2
Cut out the individually drawn pumpkin with scissors.
-
Step 3
Insert a hole at the top of the pumpkin stem with the green pipe cleaner. For added effect, wrap both lose ends of pipe cleaner around your finger a few times to make it curly.
-
Step 4
Apply glue all over pumpkin cutout. For young children, they can use paint brushes to brush the paint all over making an even coating.
-
Step 5
Sprinkle the glitter all over the pumpkin that has the glue. Shake as much possible.
-
Step 6
When finished, carefully carry over to a trash can and shake off all of the excess glitter until no more glitter falls into the trash can.
-
Step 7
Hang pumpkins on an art drying wrack or lay flat on a surface for drying. Takes up to 2 hours for glitter to dry onto glue, depending how much was applied at a time.
