How to Find Out How Much RAM you Have in XP

There are two simple ways to find out how much RAM you have installed on your Windows XP PC. You can find it in either the control panel or via the sys admin System Information tool. Read on to learn how to figure out the amount of installed RAM:

Instructions

1. Click on the START button in the bottom right-hand corner of your desktop.

2. 

   Select CONTROL PANEL from the menu that opens. Click on SYSTEM. This opens the SYSTEM PROPERTIES window.

3. 

   Click on the GENERAL tab, if it isn't open. This window will indicate the amount of RAM you have.

4. 

   METHOD #2: Follow this path:
   Click on the START button in the bottom right-hand corner of your desktop.
   Click on ALL PROGRAMS and then click ACCESSORIES.

5. Select SYSTEM TOOLS. This will open the System Information window. Scroll down toward the bottom of the window. The amount of RAM is indicated at the bottom of the listed information.
