This article is to help those understand how to thread a bobbin

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Thread, bobbin, sewing machine.
  1. Step 1

First, take the end of the thread, and feed it through the hole of the bobbin. Make sure you thread it from the inner part of the bobbin first. This can be a little tricky, but once it is trough, you wnt a piece of the thread sticking out of the top of the bobbin.

  2. Step 2

Second, place the newley threaded bobbin on the post of your sewing machine. It is located on the top right hand corner of the machine. Once it is on, move metal post to the right so it locks in place. This also tells your machine that you are threading a bobbin and not sewing.

  3. Step 3

Take the spool of thread and stick it through the post behind the bobbin, take the excess thread and winde it around the silver button (to the left of the bobbin) crossing the thread one time. Use your foot peddle to spin the thread onto the bobbin. Machine will stop threading once the bobbin is full.
