Consider having a professional painter come in and paint a complete foliage scene on one wall or maybe all four. You can also special order wallpaper that provides just the perfect scene. If you choose to make the scene on just one wall, color coordinate the remaining walls in greens and tans. When designing the ceiling, you might try a bamboo wood or fake tree branches and leaves. The walls and ceiling should set the tone for the entire room. When you walk through the door, it should feel like you just stepped through a portal into Jungle Book.

The perfect bed in a jungle room should definitely be a tree house style bunk bed. Have one custom made from rough wood. It should resemble a rustic jungle tree hut. You can have a ladder and a rope both to get up into the bed. You might even consider a slide or pole to slide down, when your boy is coming down from the top. The top of the hut should be covered in jungle leaves that are authentic to what would be used in a real jungle. For bedding, you can use sleeping bags for an even more authentic feel; camouflage style, of course.

Have custom-made trees assembled in your child's room. The tree trunks can be crafted to hold drawers for clothing and storage. You can even have one open up to hold an entertainment system. How about a desk made from wood crafted to look like huge rock or tree stump. You will need to find a skilled craftsman that has made this type of product for a museum and is capable of altering the design to include every day uses. In the eyes of someone who is not aware of the compartment, it should look like actual trees and jungle items. Drawer pulls could be pieces of bark or knots on the trees.

No room is complete without jungle sounds. Have a surround sound system installed that can play ambiance sounds from a jungle. These sounds should include monkey noises and even quiet rain sounds for night time. You can even have authentic sounds of parakeets and cockatoos. Your child can turn the sound system on or off, depending on his mood.

Have the floor designed by using rough wood pressed together to look like a jungle floor. You might have leaves pressed into the pattern. You can add fake animals or even an electric fore pit. Of course, the fire pit should only use lights and air to achieve the right look. You can find many imitation outdoor items like this on the Internet today. No jungle room is complete without a few vines hanging here and there. You can have the vines synthetically made so your child can actually hang on them.
