Provide customers with an Incentive for coming to your store or service center

Through these economic trials we are facing, it is important to offer incentives to your customers for continuing to patronize your business. Here are some great ideas to boost your customer moral and base!

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Dedication
  • Perciverence
  • Imagination
  • Creativity
  1. Step 1

Utilize your advertising venues to advertise your incentive. If you are using print, radio, or storefront, consistency is key. Use the same wording, logo design, and call to action. If you want your customers to buy more of one item...provide a special discount or incentive (free gift) for purchasing the item.

  2. Step 2

Customer referral programs work well, as most businesses thrive on "word-of-mouth" advertising. Give your current customers an incentive for bringing you new customers. For example, for a salon...offer a free service or a discounted rate to your current customer in exchange for a referral purchasing a service. If you then provide that referral with the same opportunity, they will bring you a referral, and so on.

  3. Step 3

Provide customers with an opportunity to win a service or product from your business. Utilize the raffle system...have your customers sign up to win a big prize. You may also offer them a smaller incentive for entering the contest. Example: Raffle 1 or 3 months of free tanning, with an incentive of $10.00 off the current month's package price or a bottle of lotion. Your customers get a break, and you get the sales!

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember to promote, promote, promote your incentive program to your current customers...they will help you promote to potential customers.
  • Be creative, utilize low-cost advertising techniques, employee referral programs and other businesses to promote yours.
