For the longest time, my daughter thought that all of our family came over and ate turkey for her birthday. It was just how it was until she got in school. Her birthday is so close to Thanksgiving that I have to do special things to make her day special.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Have their party early.

Set the date for your child's birthday party a week or two in advance. This will enable their friends to show up. So many leave town for the holidays that it just isn't reasonable to have it when no one can come.

  2. Step 2

Plan a day to spend with your child.

Plan a day when the whole family can do something fun with the birthday child. You are usually so busy trying to get ready for the holidays that you can forget how important this time is with your child on their birthday.

  3. Step 3

    Save a present.

Save a present from the party and your family time to give to the child on their birthday. It is a special day for them. They will be happy that you aren't too busy to love them.

Tips & Warnings
  • This is for any holiday.
