The juice diet has helped many people shed pounds after the holidays, and it's a great way to meet your weight goals and stick to your New Year's resolutions. Here are the steps you can take to lose weight on the juice diet.
Things You'll Need
- juicy fruits and berries
- juicy vegetables
- lemon/lime juice
Invest in a good juicer. If you make your own juice at home rather than buy in bottles from the store, you will same money and cut down on sugar and preservatives.
Make juice blends using fruits such as oranges, grapefruit, strawberries, peaches, plums, and juicy berries. You can also use tomatoes and cucumbers. Dilute the juice with water by a third and add lemon juice or lime juice to help preserve your blends in the fridge. Don't add sweetener to the juice.
Begin your day with a nutritious breakfast that can include eggs, whole wheat toast, whole grain cereal, low fat milk, and of course, juice. It is important that you eat breakfast every day of the juice diet.
For lunch and dinner, eat about half or a third of what you would normally eat, and replace the rest with juice. If you get hungry in between meals, snack on vegetables.
Keep a regular exercise schedule while on the diet to help meet your weight loss goals.
