How to Select a Gmail Theme

You can now choose a theme for your gmail application. The themes are strikingly beautiful. Google has just introduced this new feature for their Web-mail application. A few lucky users were able to beta-test this feature beforehand, but now it’s here for all to enjoy.

Things You'll Need:

• Gmail account

1. There are thirty gmail themes to choose from. Fun themes include one that looks like an old computer terminal, a shower, and a retro notepad. You can also customize by location, in some cases, so that local sunrise/sunset or weather is displayed.

2. You can add a theme to your Gmail by clicking on “settings”, located in the top right corner. Next select the “Themes” tab. Then select your theme.

3. Don’t have a gmail account yet? It’s easy to get one. There are so many powerful features, you’ll be glad you did. Just go to www.google.com and click on the Mail link at the top of the page. Then click on the “Sign up for gmail” link.

Tips & Warnings

• Don’t worry if you don’t see this feature available yet. Google often releases new features in stages, as they reach different servers. You’ll see it within a few days.
• You can’t create your own themes ... yet.
