Bake a Chocolate Chip Pie
Bake a Chocolate Chip Pie

Do you really want to impress your guests??? Or do you have children that deserve a special treat??? Or a spouse you want to do something special for??? Then this may be what you are looking for!!! A chocolate chip pie is a scrumptious, chocolate desert. It would make a wonderful addition to your holiday traditions.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell (look in links at bottom for how to)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • mixer (hand or stand)
  • 9" pie pan
  • mixing bowl
  • large spoon
  • wire rack
  • oven
  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 325° F.

  2. Step 2

Beat eggs in large mixing bowl on high speed until foamy. Beat in flour, granulated sugar and brown sugar. Next, beat in the butter. Stir in with spoon, the chocolate chips and walnuts. Pour into pie shell (link at bottom for how to make a pie crust shell). You can spoon the mixture into the pie crust instead if it is easier for you.

  3. Step 3

Bake for 55 to 60 minutes. Check if it is done by inserting a knife halfway between edge and center and see if it comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.

  4. Step 4

Serve it. This tastes good plain, with whipped cream or ice cream!!!!

Tips & Warnings
  • This tastes best served warm.
  • If it needs to be reheated, just cut a slice off and heat for a few second in the microwave. Start off in small increments, like 10 seconds because this heats up fast.
  • It should be a nice dark, golden color on top when done baking.
  • If your not sure how your oven cooks, keep a close eye on it especially near the end, so it doesn't burn.
