Find Something by Praying to St. Anthony

Have you ever lost something? Stupid question - of course you have. It's one of the most frustrating things that can happen, and it usually happens when you are in a rush. When all else fails, pray to St. Anthony. It's a Catholic tradition, and it really works. Here's how.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Make an earnest effort to look for whatever you lost. This is not simply some trick to use when you're too lazy to look for something. Make sure you look carefully on your own. God helps those who helps themselves, and I like to think St. Anthony feels the same way.

  2. Step 2

After you're confident that you've searched carefully for whatever it is that is lost, then it's time to call in for reinforcements: St. Anthony. Sit down in a quiet spot, if possible. Think about what you lost. Recite the following prayer, "St. Anthony, St. Anthony, please come around. Something's been lost and cannot be found." Say it a few more times while thinking about the lost object.

  3. Step 3

Now, look again for the lost item, while saying the above prayer to yourself. Think and pray. Recheck the logical places first knowing that someone is helping you. Listen to that inner voice (is it you, or is it St. Anthony?!)

  4. Step 4

Did you find it? I have found that praying to St. Anthony works over 90% of the time. This is not a magic trick; faith is required. St. Anthony might not help you find something you lost 10 years ago, but he will help you unleash the power you have within yourself to guide you to your lost object.

  5. Step 5

When you have found your lost object, remember to say a quick prayer of thanks to St. Anthony.
