i have had many a pet in my day, and currently have 2 hamster, 2 cockatiels, and a kitten. all in a 1 bedroom apartment!
i have in the past acquired pets from pet stores, from newspaper ads, from friends and family, from farms, and the humane society.
so what i want to tell you in this article is the best way to purchase an animal and why. -

farm cats and dogs may seem ideal but their not. they may be 2nd or 3rd generation inbred animals. inbred kittens and puppies do not have good temperaments. my cat sab was from a farm and i had to have him removed from my home for attacking 2 people. i had tried everything with this cat and worked with him for over a year and nothing worked.

Step 3
you never go wrong at a humane society because the quarantine the animals they get and observe their behaviour. they also spay nueter and micro chip.
pet stores ate also a pretty good place as well. just make sure you ask alot of questions about where the animal came from, ect.
i am a die hard humane society fan and that is because the animals need a home so badly and also pure breed animals are not any better than your average domestic cat or dog. i love mutts!
