Step 1
Writing your Christmas letter should inform the reader of meaningful things that happened throughout the year. Take into consideration who you're sending the letter to & think about what they would enjoy hearing about.
-
Step 2
Avoid writing about unimportant things. Instead, use your letter to update everyone up on what new & exciting things have been going in your life. Only choose a few of the best moments of the year and write about them.
-
Step 3
It is okay to include information about something sad or disappointing that happened. Being real in your letters is OK.
-
Step 4
Show your humorous side....if you have a funny story to tell about your pet, tell it from their point of view.
-
Step 5
Choose stationary that is cute, or pretty....what ever you decide that you will like for your letter. Stores like Staples and some online stores have nice stationary that have Christmas and Holiday themes. There's no need to go overboard with how fancy your stationary is because it's the content of your letter that your friends & family will mostly enjoy.
-
Step 6
Try to keep your letter all on one side of the page. Choose a font that's easy on the eyes, and that will also allow you to get more on a page.
-
Step 7
And of course always proofread your letter before printing & sending it out.
