Gmail Theme

It looks like I'm not the only one who's excited about Gmail's new themes for email. It's about time! Here's the best way to choose the one that works for you.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • eyes
  • computer
  • good judgment
  1. Step 1

Launch the full version of Gmail. Click on the "Settings" tab. Then click on the "Themes" tab. You will see lots of themes that you can choose from to change the look of your inbox as well as your outgoing mail.

  2. Step 2

Click on the various themes that are available. Check out how they change the look of your inbox. Interestingly, the Graffiti theme is specific to your area.

  3. Step 3

Pick your favorite theme and then click on a few things in your inbox. Is the color-scheme pleasing or do you think you'll have a headache after 20 minutes? Can you read all of the text clearly?

  4. Step 4

Enjoy your new theme! Don't be afraid to change it every now and then to keep your look fresh.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you enjoy customizing your Internet experience and you have Firefox, try the Stylish Firefox plug-in to change your overall Google theme.
  • For those of you who like to coordinate things, be aware that these Gmail themes do not match up with the iGoogle skins!
  • Gmail themes give you one more reason to procrastinate while working. Beware!
