Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Relaxation activates the immune system of the body, and healing begins. Daily relaxation can help you to improve your health and appearance. It can also help if you are trying to recover from an illness.

  2. Step 2

Take some time each day to relax so that your true feelings and direction can become clear to you. This will help you find peace in your life. In this time period do something that relaxes you.

  3. Step 3

There are many comforting ways to relax. Good examples are to exercise, breathe deeply, take a quick nap, sit with your eyes closed and visualize peaceful images that will calm you, admire nature, spend time with an animal, write in a journal, meditate, practice yoga, get a message, etc.

  4. Step 4

All of these will release tension, and help your body produce healing chemicals. Relaxation causes healing interleukins to be released into your bloodstream. Interleukins are a part of the immune system that heal illness and infection within the body.

  5. Step 5

Replace the habit of worrying and feeling stressed, with the positive habit of slowing down and relaxing. Worrying has no benefit, is a waste of time, and only increases stress levels. It helps to remember that most all of what you worry and fear will happen, never actually will. Worry is something our mind creates out of fear not reality.

  6. Step 6

Positive thoughts and relaxation rest the body and mind, and activate the mind's problem solving skills. The best solutions come into our thoughts after deep relaxation. And action taken after a period of reflection and relaxation is very productive and powerful. This type of action is more helpful to us than worrying, and decreases our stress.

  7. Step 7

Practicing relaxation and stress reduction can improve the health of your skin. It can also improve your outlook on life, and your quality of life. Learning to just relax and let go is one of the most important skills we can ever learn.
