This is a very simple way to keep animals off your furniture and it will not cost much, but it is unusual. Aluminum Foil

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Aluminum Foil
  1. Step 1

    This might be something that you will want to do if you are going away for a little bit of time or when you go to bed at night. This works on my cats and my dogs, they must not like the sound of it. You can control when and if they are allowed on furniture.

  2. Step 2

    Get a large roll of Aluminum Foil and cover your furniture with it. This is the only way that I keep my pets off of my furniture. This is a great solution for me!

  3. Step 3

    I cover the cushions, just lay it over, nothing much then I lay another couple of sheets over the cushions in the back. What I do for the sides of the furniture because my cats will try to dig into the furniture with their claws. I will tuck the foil into the sides and go down as far as I can with it.

Tips & Warnings
  • This has definitely pro-longed the life of my furniture. I have gone through a lot of different living room sets and thought as long as I have cats I will never have anything nice because I don't want to de-claw them and they won't use the scratching post that I gave them. But someone had told me this and so far its working.
  • If you forget to take off the foil before company comes over, they might thing that your crazy
