A great Chicken Casserole that your children will love too.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3lbs Chicken
  • 16 oz Sourcream
  • i can of Campbell's Cream of Chicken or Cream of Mushroom or Cream of Mushroom & Chicken
  • 1/2 Stick of Butter
  • 1 - 2 packs of Ritz Crackers
  • 1.5 - 2 Qyart Quart Casserole Dish
  1. Step 1

Trim the fat from your chicken and boil it or crock pot it, until it is fully cooked.

  2. Step 2

Pre-Heat Oven to 325.(You can use chilled chicken or freshly cooked) Cut all of the chicken into cubes or shred. Your choice.

  3. Step 3

In a bowl mix the soup and sour cream together. When it is well blended - add the chicken and mix.

  4. Step 4

Place the contents of the entire bowl into a casserole Dish. Smooth over with a turn to make the entire surface flat.

  5. Step 5

Next take your pack(s) of Ritz crackers, grabbing the unopened bad from each end. Crush the crackers in the same manner you would smash an aluminum can. This will make perfect crumbs with no mess.

  6. Step 6

Open one end and cover the entire Chicken mixture with the crumbs. Bigger pieces are fine and no need to re-crush.

  7. Step 7

Take the 1/2 stick of butter and cut individual pats of butter and distribute evenly over the entire casserole.

  8. Step 8

Cover with foil and bake at 325 for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, remove the foil and allow the crumb mixture to cook to a slightly brown.

  9. Step 9

Remove and serve. Your kids will love this. You can serve with a side a vegetables of your choice. i prefer corn or green beans with this.

Tips & Warnings
  • I prefer to use chicken previously cooked and chilled. It allows all of the contents to warm up at the same time. But either way will taste fine.
  • Be advised, this is so good you may find yourself stuffed when you are done eating.
