Things You'll Need:

  • Bins used for specific articles
  1. Step 1

Decide what you want to recycle. Do you want to start with only aluminum cans or do you want to go full blown recycling and start with cans, paper, glass, plastic, etc. While deciding it may be helpful to find local vendors that excepts these items or your local recycling center if you have one. There may be restrictions on what you can take and in turn make you have to find new ways or places to recycle goods.

  2. Step 2

Keep yourself clean and organized by considering storage for recycled goods. The best thing to use are plastic bins or trash cans. They are sturdy and easy to clean. Make sure to label bins if you are recycling more than one type of product.

  3. Step 3

Make sure to get the entire family involved if you are 1 person in a family that recycles, that means that either you have to did through garbage to sort out the items that you are recycling or so many products that could be aren't getting recycled. If you have little ones this is a great way to get them started on helping with the household or give them more responsibilities.
