How to Apply for an FFL (Federal Firearm Licence)

First meet the following requirements. You cannot be under 21 years of age, convicted of a felony with a sentence of more than one year or under indictment, a fugitive from justice, illegal alien, an unlawful user of controlled substance, dishonorable discharge from the service, been adjudicated as mental defective, renounced citizenship, convicted of Domestic Violence.

Next, you will need a place of business that is open to the public. A security system and a safe secure storage compartment.

Decide what licence you want to apply for, (dealer of rifle, pistol, and shotguns or gunsmith), (manufacturer of ammo or firearms), (importer of ammo or firearms),(dealer of destructive devices), (manufacturer of destructive devices or ammo), or an(importer of destructive devices or ammo).

Contact the ATF on line (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives). Go to forms, then click on Application for License (FFL)
ATF F 5310.12 (Form 7). Follow the instructions for 5310 series. You can call or order from the selections provided and they will promptly send you the application kit. -

Fill out the Application, 2 copies for the ATF, 1 copy for the local law enforcement official, and one copy for yourself. Get a current 2x2 passport photo and fill out the fingerprint card, the police department will have to print you and sign it.

It is important to fill out the application accurately and completely. Try not to abbreviate. Give one copy to the local law enforcement official and mail the 2 copies to the ATF. Include the fee for the licence you apply for.

Amen guru, thats the way you and I think and we concider ourselves normal. The Democrates have a different objective, do what I say and live with it. If we are unarmed it makes their job easier. A ticking time bomb. -

No doubt! When will people learn that gun laws only apply to those who obey them, and making them tougher isn't going to keep them out of the hands of criminals?
