Things You'll Need:
- limes--one for each glass of limeade you'll need
- sweetener--sugar, artificial sweetener, agave syrup, etc.
- sparkling water or club soda
- juicer (optional)
-
Step 1
Squeeze the juice of one large lime into a glass by hand or with a juicer (or squeeze limes into a pitcher, one lime for each glass of limeade you'll need). Avoid getting seeds and too much pulp if possible. You'll want approximately two tablespoons of juice, so use a couple of limes if you need to.
-
Step 2
Add a tablespoon of your choice of sweetener (if making a pitcher, one tablespoon per glass you'll need). You can sweeten to taste, but one tablespoon tends to be a good amount.
-
Step 3
Add ice and enough sparkling water or club soda to fill the glass. Stir it very well until the sweetener is dissolved and thoroughly mixed in. Most mixers will work here, but water or club soda seem to work best as they don't overpower the flavor of the lime juice.
-
Step 4
Alternately, you can add one shot of tequila or rum and garnish with mint.
