Olive oil is very useful in improving the state of damaged hair. Olive oil is a versatile product that can be used for cooking and for personal use. Mediterranean women have long been using olive oil to treat their hair. Olive oil has the ability to treat split ends, heal dandruff and add shine. Olive oil contains omega fatty acids, specifically omega-6 and omega-3 which has a positive effect on health, skin and hair. For example, those deficient in omega-3 and omega-6 may experience the onset of hair loss, as well as other health issues.

Things You'll Need:

  • Tablespoon Olive oil Shower cap Shampoo Shower
  1. Step 1

    Measure the olive oil. Count 2 to 3 tablespoons of olive oil.

  2. Step 2

    Massage it onto your scalp. Make sure to that you massage the olive oil in a circular manner and that you distribute the olive oil from the roots to the ends of your hair.

  3. Step 3

    Cover your hair. Make sure that your hair is tucked inside a plastic bathing cap.

  4. Step 4

    Wait for the olive oil to fully saturate your hair by letting the olive oil settle for 30 minutes or more.

  5. Step 5

    Rinse your hair. Thoroughly wash your hair with shampoo. Repeat if the olive oil residue still remains. Conduct this olive oil hair treatment once every two weeks.
