Southern Fried Chicken

Everyone loves fried chicken! Here is a great way to cook it and it comes out awesome! Yummy!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 lb of chicken pieces
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 eggs
  • Vegetable oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  1. Step 1

You need to put about 1/4 of a cup of vegetable oil in a large frying pan. Let it heat up while you do the next steps

  2. Step 2

On a plate or a paper towel, put the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder and mix. The amount of spices is up to you and your taste. I like a lot of each.

  3. Step 3

Crack eggs into a shallow bowl and beat. Add a splash of milk and mix.

  4. Step 4

Dip chicken piece into egg and coat well. Allow to drip off of chicken.

  5. Step 5

Place chicken into flour and spice mixture and coat evenly. Shake off excess flour.

  6. Step 6

After the oil is well heated place chicken into hot oil. About 1/4 of the chicken should be immersed in oil

  7. Step 7

Add all of the chicken into the frying pan. Let fry on that side til it is nice and brown.

  8. Step 8

Flip chicken over to brown on other side. Cut into thickest piece and make sure chicken is no longer pink, and juices run clear.
