Tips & Warnings
  • Have your kids designate each feather as a symbol of something they are thankful for this holiday season. Then, let your kids keep their Thanksgiving feathers in a special place. Maybe your kids have a special trinket box in their room, or put them in a vase in your family room to decorate for the holiday.
  • Have your kids designate some of the feathers for special family members or friends. For example: “This feather shows I’m thankful for Grandma for taking care of me after school” or “This feather is because I’m thankful for my friend, Miles, because he plays Power Rangers with me,” etc. Then, have your kids give the feather to those people with a note expressing those sentiments.
  • Turn Tyler Turkey’s feathers into a colorful art project. Draw an outline of a turkey and let your kids glue some of the feathers on to create a vibrant coat for Tyler. Hang it up in a special place to decorate for Thanksgiving.
