Lasagna is one of my favorite Italian dishes, and is actually quite easy to make. Read on to learn how to make the best lasagna I have ever had!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 lbs hamburger
  • 1 large jar Ragu
  • 16 oz package ricotta cheese
  • 1 package monterrey jack cheese
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 4 tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 box lasagna pasta
  • 2 tsp. oregano
  • parmesan cheese
  1. Step 1

The first thing you need to do is to brown the hamburger meat, then drain the grease very well. I usually pat with paper towels after draining to remove as much grease as possible. Now place the meat into a large pot with the jar of Ragu, ricotta cheese, monterey jack cheese (broken into small pieces), and dry ingredients as well. Heat on medium heat for about 15 minutes, while stirring, until you have a nice even mixture as shown.

  2. Step 2

Now spray your casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray and pour in a little of the sauce. Now add a few pieces of the lasagna pasta, and cover with some more sauce. Continue this process until you are out of ingredients, then sprinkle the top with some parmesan cheese and possibly some shredded cheese if you like as well.

  3. Step 3

Now preheat your oven to 350 degrees, and cover your casserole dish with aluminum foil. Allow the lasagna to cook for about 45 minutes, then remove the foil and let cook for about 15 to 20 more minutes. Now you should be ready to serve with a big glass of red wine! Enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
  • Merlot is my favorite red wine.
  • If you choose to drink, do not drink and drive!

on 1/26/2009 I also love lasagna and this really sounds like a great recipe! I have a good one too but it uses whipped cottage cheese instead of ricotta. Just a little less fattening I guess. 5*
