  • Clothes hamper
  • Basket or bag
  • Garbage bag
  • Rubber gloves
  • All-purpose cleaner
  • Toilet brush
  • Nonabrasive sponge
  • Towel
  • Disinfectant wipes
  • Glass cleaner or white distilled vinegar
  • Microfiber cloth

Instructions

      Gather all the supplies you need before you begin. Forgetting an item may prolong the time it takes to clean the bathroom.

      Place all the dirty clothes in a hamper. Avoid sorting the clothes until you do the laundry.

      Remove any items from the bathroom that belong in another room. Place them into a basket or bag for easy removal to the room after you clean the bathroom.

      Place all the trash into a garbage bag for easy removal after you clean the bathroom.

      Put on rubber gloves to protect your hands. Clean the bathroom sink, bathtub and shower with an all-purpose cleaner and nonabrasive sponge. Follow the directions on the product. Rinse the surfaces and dry them with a towel.

      Scrub the inside of the toilet bowl with the all-purpose cleaner and a toilet brush.

      Wipe the surface of the toilet bowl and counters with disinfectant wipes.

      Wipe bathroom mirrors with a glass cleaner and microfiber cloth. If you do not have a glass cleaner, wipe the mirror with white distilled vinegar.

      Sweep the bathroom floor to remove loose dirt and debris. Mop the floor quickly with a damp mop and your preferred floor cleaner.

Tips & Warnings

  • Fill a spray bottle with white vinegar and spray it on surfaces in the bathroom if you do not have an all-purpose cleaner. Wipe the surfaces with a microfiber cloth.

  • Pour 1 cup of bleach or vinegar into the toilet bowl and allow it to sit for 30 minutes or overnight to remove tough stains.

  • Never combine cleaners because doing so may result in harmful fumes.
