Things You'll Need:
- Vintage Clothes
- Dark Colors
- Black High Boots
- Get into character.
-
Step 1
Become familiar with the Gothic wardrobe, watch movies, check the internet and check out what style best fit your character. Concentrate on the wardrobe, not the characters and/or individuals.
-
Step 2
Shop at thrift stores most of the time you will find vintage pieces and for a reasonable price at these type of stores.
-
Step 3
Stick to dark color clothes such as black, gray, navy blue, and/or dark green and a bit of red, not bright red. Add a bit of light colors like cream, beige, off white or white. Oh, try to add velvet to your gothic wardrobe, too.
-
Step 4
Your hair can remain the same, but not to neat it can be a bit messy. It's up to you.
-
Step 5
Women dark lipstick, not black lipstick and add black eyeliner. Unless you want to again its up to you. Men you do not need to add anything on your face. Remember not too extreme.
-
Step 6
There are many styles in high black boots, choose your correct style.
-
Step 7
Play your character you feel sexy, don't care attitude, or feeling mysteries. Play your part.

on 6/14/2009 It's funny that I came across this article today. I have a date in a post-apocalyptic goth den next week and didn't know what I was going to do with my wardrobe short of slashing holes in everything and dyeing it black.
