How to Use Videos to Increase Online Sales

Are you an online entrepreneur? Perhaps you're looking for a way to express yourself that stands out from the crowd! Videos are the perfect way to drive traffic to your website or blog all the time and increase sales on products or services.

Things You'll Need:

  • Web or video camera Video editing program, such as Windows Movie Maker Sound editing program, such as Audacity
  1. Step 1

    Write a script for your video, or improvise. Depending on the context or theme of your video, you may wish to create a dialogue.

  2. Step 2

    Begin recording your video. Make sure to record multiple takes for editing purposes later on.

  3. Step 3

    Edit the video. Fire up your favorite video/movie and audio editors. In Microsoft Movie Maker (see Resources), you can add audio and visual sound effects--the latter which may be created in Audacity or some other audio development tool--to round out your presentation.

  4. Step 4

    Take your completed video and upload it to the servers that hold your subscriptions, such as YouTube, MySpace and Facebook. Remember, if you have a blog or website, include links to those sites and especially your products. Include tags, as these keywords help you stand out in online search engines.

  5. Step 5

    Submit your sites to several search engines to be crawled on a regular basis. If your web host has marketing tools they provide to their users, take advantage of them.
