Things You'll Need:
- Apples
- Cinnamon,Ginger,Nutmeg
- Splenda or Equal
- Lite Margerine
- Optional- Dark Chocolate, peanuts, almonds, lemon juice, low-fat ice cream or yogurt
-
Step 1
Slice apples in bite-sized pieces, or 1/8 slices. You can use just about any type of apple, even the more sour-variety, because cooking them makes them very sweet. Use about one apple per serving. If you have a lot of servings, or it will be a while before cooking them, apply lemon juice to keep them from oxidizing (turning brown).
-
Step 2
Microwave or cook them in a sauce pan on the stove until the apples are soft. With most microwaves, a couple of minutes or so should be sufficient for one apple. Add the cinnamon at this point. Optional: add ginger and nutmeg or even cardamom (your preference).
-
Step 3
Once the apples have cooked, you can sprinkle a little sweetener on them and some butter or margarine. You can also shave a little bit of dark chocolate on top or some nuts...and now enjoy!
