How to Eat a High-Energy Breakfast

Many ideas and plans exist that purport to teach you to eat healthier and gain energy. Regardless of these claims, basic eating principles are the best way to improve your energy level. Eating a good breakfast is a key component to creating a healthy, high-energy eating plan. You need to incorporate certain types of food into your breakfast routine in order to generate energy.

      Plan your morning meals ahead of time. If you wake up without knowing what to eat, it becomes more tempting to stop for a doughnut or fast food.

      Prepare a breakfast high in carbohydrates and high-fiber. This can include whole-wheat toast with peanut butter or a cereal high in fiber.

      Include protein in your breakfast. Eggs are a good source of protein, as well as turkey bacon or cheese.

      Put them all together into a healthy combination. For example, two eggs with whole-wheat toast and peanut butter, served with a glass of milk, or a bowl of high-fiber cereal, fresh bananas and milk present viable options for a high-energy breakfast. You could also make a breakfast burrito with a whole-wheat tortilla, eggs and turkey bacon, served with fresh fruit and milk.
