How to Do the Heel Toe Polka
Imagine yourself at a Polish or Czech wedding reception where the polka is being enthusiastically danced by the partygoers. Now you can join in and do your own special version of the polka called the heel-toe step. This dance has Bohemian origins, so dance like a gypsy.

Dig your right heel to the front, then jab your right toe to the back behind your left foot. The count:1 2.

Hop on your left to the count of "and."

Step on your right to the count of "3."

Ball-change, left, right, on the count of "and 4."

Combine the steps of the heel-toe polka: Heel dig, toe jab, hop, step, ball change.

Tips & Warnings
Repeat the heel-toe polka beginning on your left foot. To do a ball-change, you step down on one foot and then step down on the other.
