Things You'll Need:
- a list of the following:
- nursing homes
- hospitals
- homeless shelters
- animal shelters
- a nostalgic movie
-
Step 1
Make a list of the nursing homes, shelters for the homeless, hospitals or anywhere you can think of that people will be away from their home for Christmas. This is a great place to visit during this time of year and make those who do not have anyone visiting them for the holidays a little happier by being their visitor. Nursing homes are great for visiting and bringing a little cheer to those who may not have family left to visit them. Those who are homeless this holiday season will appreciate someone to talk to.
-
Step 2
Check with your local animal shelter and if possible, adopt a pet just for the holiday season. You will have a companion who will be grateful to be with you and who knows? This may turn into a permanent situation.
-
Step 3
Nostalgic movies are a great way to spend Christmas. There are many shown on television but if you have a favorite, rent it or buy it and watch it on Christmas day. As a matter of fact, you probably have two or three favorites.
