Lighted palm trees are all the rage. Whether you're decorating for that late night luau or just want to creat some fun ambiance...these trees are great!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Faux palm tree
  • Christmas style lights in color of your choice
  1. Step 1

Purchase a faux palm tree from your local home decor store. Often you can find these at reasonable prices during the end of summer when stores are trying to liquidate summer decor. Also purchase small christmas lights in the color of your choice. I reccommend the ones with brown cords for the trunk and green for the leaves, they seem to blend better.

  2. Step 2

Start at the base of the tree and wrap the trunk lights around until you reach the top. If you have to connect strands together be sure you do this in the BACK of the tree, that way it won't be seen. Continue the process on the leaves. You can use hot glue to outline the leaves with the lights or you can wrap them as you did the trunk.

  3. Step 3

Plug in and enjoy! These are great for year round use...just be sure to store them indoors when not in use so they leaves don't fade.

Tips & Warnings
  • When using hot glue be sure to keep small children and animals away from working area.
